FP FreshPeak Clayworks

FAQ

Quick answers about classes, materials, safety, and studio policies.

What class level should I choose?

Choose Beginner if you’ve never worked with clay or need a refresher on centering and pulling. Intermediate focuses on consistent forms and trimming. Advanced explores complex builds, glaze fit, and critique.

Are materials included?

Many classes include clay and basic tools. Glaze Lab and Intensives may require extra materials. See each class page for “Materials included.”

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund if canceled 72 hours before the first session; 50% credit within 72 hours; no refunds after the first session begins, except as required by law.

Do you offer kiln firing for outside work?

Kiln services are available to enrolled students with instructor approval. We verify clay and glaze compatibility to protect shared firings.

Is the studio accessible?

Yes. Our studio entrance is step-free, with adjustable-height work tables. Let us know your needs and we will make reasonable accommodations.

How do glazing sessions work?

We demo test tiles, mixing, and application. You’ll log recipes and results in your glaze notebook, including thickness, application method, and firing schedule.

What if I miss a session?

We offer one free make-up slot per course when available. Contact us early to reschedule so we can prepare wheels and tools.

What is the cleanup routine?

We wet-clean all surfaces, tools, and floors. No dry sweeping. Please log your cleanup checklist before leaving to keep the studio safe.
