FP FreshPeak Clayworks

About FreshPeak Clayworks

We started FreshPeak Clayworks to bring professional ceramics education into a cozy, journal-like environment. Inspired by the idea of a “fresh peak,” we celebrate small summits—centering a first ball of clay, trimming a clean foot, or pulling an even wall—quiet moments that mean you’re on your way.

Mission

To teach clay sculpting with warmth and rigor, supporting steady progress and safe studio habits for makers at all levels.

Studio safety

We enforce respirator use during sanding, wet-clean all surfaces, and provide clear kiln logs. Glaze chemicals are labeled and stored with SDS sheets available.

Our story

Our founders met during a winter kiln build. Between shifts stoking the fire, they took notes in a battered notebook—the first “studio journal.” That spirit lives in our classes: every session includes technique notes and reflection prompts. We honor tradition while embracing modern safety and inclusive teaching.
